Spring ploughing ceremony celebrated in Xizang

Recently, the annual spring ploughing ceremony is held in Lhasa, Xizang. 

Villagers dressed in festive costumes and hold the Chema boxes (a rectangular wooden box filled with roasted Tsampa and fried wheat grain), which means a good harvest. The yaks decorated with red tassels, and the plowing machine decorated with colorful cloth strips... They sang prayer songs, offered highland barley wine and sowed to the fields, looking forward to a good harvest.
