As a junior majoring in Transportation at the School of Transportation Science and Engineering, Beihang University, Tsewang Dondrup combines the youthful sincerity characteristic of life on the plateau with a passion for scientific and technological innovation.
At first, when others asked about his choice of major in transportation, he confidently responded, “I choose what I am truly interested in.” With his teachers’ and senior schoolmates’ encouragement, he firmly decided to join the transportation intelligence research team.
Tsewang Dondrup pursued his studies under the guidance of his mentor, focusing on lane change intention recognition. He began learning the Vissim simulation software from its fundamentals and engaged in discussions with classmates regarding Catia modeling techniques to uncover the intricacies of driving behavior within NGSIM data.
As a young man in the new era, he focuses on laboratory work while founding a practice team to record stories from Xizang by utilizing new media and spreading the positive energy.
He planned to return to his hometown to educate and transform the futures of more children through his knowledge. In addition, he aimed to impart insights on intelligent transportation on the plateau for future advancements.
Yomzhong, at the age of 26, runs his own homestay beside Tangra Yumco Lake.
