Recently, the Traditional Tibetan Chess Competition took place in Maqin County, Golak Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The event featured four Tibetan chess categories, with More than 100 players participated in person to compete and improve their skills. Tibetan chess, also known as “multi-eyed chess,” is a popular form of entertainment and competition among the local people. In 2021, it was officially recognized as part of the national intangible cultural heritage.
